I’ve decided that I need some short term goals. So, I’ve decided to play the Hershey’s Free Vintage T-shirt giveaway. The promotion lasts until October 31, 05, which gives me plenty of time. To redeem a shirt, you have to send in 15 UPC codes and $2 for shipping for one shirt. I dont know if it’s $2 per shirt, but I’ll deal with that when I get to that bridge. I need to focus, now, on eat’n me some candy.
I’m mainly in it for the York Peppermint Patty shirt, but maybe I’ll have my Christmas presents for everyone as a bonus. Starting today, I’m going to check out the college snack shops, (because they usually have the cheapest snacks) and get on task.

So, it turns out that Verizon charges $.25 per txt/pix sent. I’ve seen some data cables that would work with my phone. They range from $20-35. So, unless I upload 80 picture (which I may), this works fine. And here are the pictures of my apartment. Click here for larger images. (the photos beyond the Chicago photo were just fillers.)
This is the living room. My roommate, Scott, has provided the loveseat and…well all of the furnishings. He also brought a ton of foliage added with my bamboo and hopeful bonsai. My computer is currently on our coffee table.

Next, is the Kitchen. It still needs some cleaning and all of our cups and utinsils are still boxed up. There is this light greasy film around the oven area, and there is a funk in the cabinets.

Here’s the bathroom. It’s located between the living room and the bathroom. We live on the second floor. So, as you come up the stairs and walk in the apartment, this is the first thing you see.

And this is my room. I can’t get a good angle of it, but you get the idea. It used to be a porch that someone converted into a room. I bought the shelving unit at Ikea along with some good chips and crackers. The other side of the room has a small walk-in closet. Then, the room opens to the kitchen.

And that concludes the tour.

Yesterday, I replanted my bonsai seedlings. A couple years ago I got this bonsai beginners kit from Claire. It was a mini bonsai package from toysmith.

I had started it in the Winter and kept it next to the window sill. One seedling sprouted. Then nothing happened, it didn’t grow or do anything for 3 months. Eventually, it got knocked over and died. So, I didn’t continue with it. Now 2 years later, I’ve decided to try my luck again.
The seed package says that it’s atually an herb, hyssop. It’s an “evergreen shrubby perennial often used as edgin in the herb garden. It grows rapidly and can develop a strong woody trunk in one season. Hyssop grows 1 to 2 feet high, with a square stem, linear leaves, and flowers in whorls of six-to fifteen flowers.”
So, that’s that. I’ve planted 4 seeds in some garden soil, which I took from my apartment yard. I’ll be keeping it next to the window, where it gets a lot of sun. I’ll be tracking it’s progress and hopefully see some good results. Here’s a page from some guy who also has the same kit. Web link. But he didn’t track the progress of the hyssop well.

Here’s my first moblog entry. It was taken while I was stuck in traffic and headed for Best Buy. I have many more pictures to upload, but I want to see if Verizon is going to charge me out the butt for sending these entries. Otherwise, it worked nicely, and more pictures of the apartment will follow.

It works through text america. I registered an account there, and I’m able to upload pictures to the account through my phone. It can also act as a server for holding my pictures, and they allow users to create flashy banners like the one on the right.
