Here’s a new internet show that I think even Mom would like. It’s called “Control+Alt+Chicken.” It’s just a geeky name for a cooking show. Yes, Mom, a cooking show. The hosts are Alex Albrecht (diggnation) and Heather Stewart. It came out yesterday, so there’s only one show. In the episode, they attempt to make chicken cordon bleu. Nothing ground breaking there. The food network has their channel dedicated to this kind of thing. But, what sets this show apart from them is the entertainment factor.

Alex and Heather are a couple. They bicker, nitpick, and exchange jabs at one another while making the recipe. It’s very Newlywedish. The other key is that it’s improvised and somewhat unrehearsed. They attempt the meal for the first time. So, they are reading through the directions and making mistakes as they go along. In the episode, they have a prepared chicken cordon bleu that they over freeze and cant fry. They use their demo piece and wind up undercooking the chicken. But that’s good. That’s REAL. And, it’s better to watch and learn from other people’s mistakes.
