FIFA World Cup

I’ve been trying to get into World Cup since it started. The US has their first game today against the Czech Republic. ABC has aired one game that I know of (England), and the Spanish channels I get are doing a fantastic job of showing nearly every game. I usually have that on in the background, and I hear them yell, “Goooooooooooooooooool”. I think it would be fun to go to an English pub, while they’re are playing. I could witness the rowdy football fans firsthand.

I’m also catsitting for my landlord this week. He’s in Cancun. He gets digital cable, so…you know…the kitty may need some company. The only problem with the cat is that it does not shut up. If it’s on it’s feet it is always meowing, and I want to kick it. Besides that, it’s an ok cat.

CJ: I’ve always had my AC situated like yours and never had a problem. The window balance act never fails.

That’s Not Safety at All

Whenever I go biking, I try to be fully aware of my surroundings whether it be cars, people, glass, whatever. Chicago has some nasty streets, and I try to avoid it all.

Today, I’m riding over this bridge and I hear this “tsk…tsk” sound. It happens everytime my tire makes a full revolution, so I check to see if a rock or glass shard is wedged in one of the grooves. I see nothing. So, I keep riding until I get down to the lake park. It’s still making the noise. I pinpoint that the noise is coming from the back tire and not the front. Low and behold there’s a safety pin poking in my tire. For peet sake!

I was able ride halfway back to the apartment before the tire became a noodle, and I walked it the rest of the way. I guess I’ll be visiting the bike shop on Monday.
