ok you can’t put a link to a picture of a corgi up and not tell us the rest of the story…I just now checked out the link. Since you were talking about the Celtic fest earlier, I thought “the pound” was some sort of pub or something
did you go to the pound and meet Mickey?! Inquiring minds want to know!

Ok, so I went to the pound last Thursday and all the dogs were lame. Yesterday, Tuesday, I checked the pound website and saw that they had “Mickey” the corgi. When I checked back today, he had already been adopted. So within 5 days Mickey came and went. Ultra lame. He was still a young pup, so I suppose he was a hot item. So, that’s the story, I didn’t think it warrented a new post. Sorry for the confusion.
Put yeah, I am checking around for dogs. I also check the Corgi Club, but all the locations are far away, and they dont have many pups. Though “Duffy” is cute.

Since you’re going to be a first time owner, are you sure you don’t want to get a dog that’s already housebroken and all that? I puppy seems a little too high energy and high maintenance for you…

Duffy does seem like a cutie, but would you be around enough to make sure he gets taken outside as often as he needs? Doggie messes are not fun to clean up.

“Too high Energy and maintenance?” — I think not.
“Would you be around enough?” — ROFL. Come on, Clear. I’m tethered to my apartment.
If he/she ever made a doggie mess in the apartment, it would incur the wrath of a 1000 lashings and a sentence to the pit of eternal damnation … Or just a scolding. I’m sure any dog would have these first time issues of adapting to a new setting, but as time went on, he’d learn to adapt. I think I’d be a most excellent dog owner, and I have so much love to give. Love, Clear. LOVE!

Pepperoni has her accidents every now and then. It’s no biggie. Plus, with your floors uncarpeted (for the most part) it wouldn’t be so hard to clean up a mess……I got nothing else to say….

yuck it’s a biggie to me, but I HATE our carpets so having the carpets infused with doggie mess just makes me HATE them even more. And you can never really get carpets completely clean no matter how many chemicals have to go into them, and if you don’t catch a number 1 soon enough it can soak into the padding, and then there’s the chemicals themselves…bleh! Maybe it’s different for me too since Thumper is about 3 to 4X the size of Peppy
But yeah the wood floors would be easier, but haven’t you heard that saying about teaching an old dog new tricks? How long do corgis live? And you do sometimes go for four hour bike rides…but yeah I don’t really know why I’m saying all this because I think you should really look into giving Duffy a good home!

Corgi’s can live forever if they learn to write. Have you ever heard that saying?

Peppy is now 14 years old. Whenever we take her into the vet, they are shocked to learn that she is so old. I’ve heard miniature schnauzers can live to be around 22. She has so much spunk. I think it’s cause Melissa loves her so much…..and she dislikes me so much. She keeps on living to just irritate me. It’s all good cause when I get a running dog….Just like Pi Mei….that will be the end of her story.

I stand corrected
And once you get your corgi, you’ll have to show us pics of you teaching it to write.
ceej-
who is Pi Mei? That’s great about Peppy being so spunky at 14. Doug has read that the bigger breeds don’t live long. Thumper is, we think, around 2. It’s really hard to imagine him not being around after 5 or so years. That’s not long at all. Almost gets me choked up just thinking about it. Did I mention that Thumper is counting the days til he meets you? You’re about a week away from meeting your new best friend.

Pi Mei~ the martial art master from Kill Bill Vol.2.
I will teach my running dog the 5 point exploding heart technique….and that will be the end of Pepperoni.

Wikipedia on Pai Mei. I think Clear took a vow to not see Vol 2.

I did eventually see Vol. 2 even with the vow.
