Besides my initial gripes about the holidays season, there is something else that really erks me about the upcoming days. Specifically, there is absolutely NOTHING to do.
All of my TV shows have wrapped up. Survivor, Dexter, Amazing Race, ANTM, The Office, and My Name is Earl have all come to a close. And now, there is nothing to look forward to on a weekly time schedule. I’ve seen FOX running spots for American Idol, and I see that it doesn’t start for another month. Good grief. They hype the crap out of that show. I would watch Christmas specials, but oh wait,…they’ve already been showing these for the last 3 weeks. *sigh* I guess there is always Peter Bailey to look forward to.
When I go home, I wont have the internet, but even it goes on an extended hiatus. People are taking time off from their regular podcasts and videos programs until at least the new year. Even the news goes stale. If you follow news sites like Digg, you’ll notice there are a lot less quality articles over the weekend than the weekday. This is due to everyone taking the time off. Well, for the holidays, two days turns into two weeks.
To fill the lapse, I suppose I’ll be turning my attention towards video games. On my modded XBox, I have at least 15 games, which I’ve never played and I just picked up Lego Star Wars II and Farcry. (BTW, Lego Star Wars = Awesome!) I’m also downloading a Gameboy Advance Emulator for the XBox. There should be a crap ton of game roms to fill the time. It’s a large download, so I hope it doesn’t let me down.
Tomorrow, Thur, I’ll be taking the “slow train from Philly” all the way home. And Ceej guessed it, I’ll be dusting off Super Mario World and Shining Force II. I should really work on a PS2 mod and leave that at home. I could put a bunch of games and emulators on that. Hmmm…? In case you’re wondering, I need to make a quick stop by the library today. I plan on picking out at least one tasty book, but I dont have anything in mind…but maybe Isaac Asimov.
Well, I should really get errands done today. Post in the next 24 hours, if you have anything to add.

Sounds like you know exactly what you are going to do
When and if those things don’t work and you find you are still bored to death, that’s where I’ll swoop in with my bag o’ suggestions.
