It was at my everyday grocery store, Jewel Osco. (owned by Albertsons) They were promoting it in their ads as $1 each for the introductory promotion. They came in 6-backs and there were also some singles. I bought the Berry and Green Tea flavor. It only had a stand, which wasn't in the drink or energy drink isle. I was just walking around and there it was

Where did you find it? I tried looking for it on SBSunday in the chip and soda aisle and didn't see anything though I didn't look that hard for it. Just sort of a passing fancy...

Said bike shop was closed by the next summer. But, Mers, I didn't want to get hoodwinked into getting some stinking expensive bike, man, or a fixer upper that I wouldn't have time to fix up! Also, if you don't want to go for walks in crummy parks then you need to put your "what I like to do for fun" cards on the table where everyone can see them! XP (I wonder will your blog translate XP as easily as it translates :) ? So thblllllp to you and the horse you rode in on! ;)

Dude. Remember when I was in Oregon, and bike shops were forbidden. We drove past one, and you knew I knew we drove past it. You turned to give me a glance and I was like "murr." Instead, you were kidnapping me to walk in a crummy park.

I can't believe that I didn't mention that I already have a bike that I bought for around 40-60 dollars-ish...can't completely remember how much...but it's totally fabulous. Mom and I spotted it on one of our excursions to the coast and I think Doug and I picked it up on the very day that Mom left to go home. AND it seems a lot like these bikes, but mine has working breaks and shock absorbers on the seat because it's supposed to be a beach bike. And it's blue! :)

I've been meaning to delve into this post for a while. I'm headed to the library but thanks for the link to the article, talk of the Chumby, and Enviga. I'm really sore about C-C when I think about it so much that I'm completely against drinking their products or supporting them in any way...except when I get an intense C-C craving and I happen to have cash in my handy little hands (which is mainly why I don't carry cash because I end up getting things I don't need like C-C!)

I nosed around the internet and there are already dietary supplements that take advantage of EGCG, which is meant to be the active ingredient. Enviga reports to have 28mg, while some of these supplements have a whopping 250mg.

There are also plain green teas, which are marketed to have weight loss and dieting effects. I'm sure they work in the same manner of a high EGCG content.

I'm not so sure about the Enviga. I'm thinking it's just another drink to add to the multiple list of energy drinks currently on the market. Many existing energy drinks claim antioxidants and increased metabolism. This one I think is no different. Something I would think would be interesting is knowing what the placebo was in the study. They never said. Was it another energy drink, beer, milk, juice?
BTW Mers you are correct in ice waters effect for burning calories. Drinking ice water requires your body to warm it and thus burns calories.
