All Things Terrible

First in terrible, I bring to you Doritos: the Quest. “The Quest” is an unmarked bag of Doritos. People try to guess the new flavor and you get prizes or something. Being a connoisseur and slave to Doritos, I had to try this out. My palette tasted lime and pineapple. The internet claims that it is lime and Mountain Dew. Terrible…

Next is cable television. Life in Korea was good, because I could download all my favorite TV shows and watch them on MY time. Now, my internet connection is crap and Charter Communication commands when I shall sit in front of the TV. And with no DVR, if you miss the TV show, that’s just too bad. So, I’ve been missing many of my shows. When I try downloading files, my internet connection will drop and I lose the files.

And Summer programming really sucks. Where’s the Amazing Race or Must See comedy on Thursdays. Everything is either a Million Dollar Game Show or a dance off. Terrible…

Will Smith movies …. terrible…

Since my days consist of waking up, watching TV, shuffling around the house, and sleeping, I’m putting on chub. I think it’s also due to boredom and overeating. The river road is closed due to high waters. So, no Raging Rivers or swimming either. Terrible…

And then, of course, I didn’t get the green light for Lasik. Terrible…

Mers coming to Portland…no go! Packing…finally going. Summertime…again finally a go.

I found a cooking show that I like. This guy Bittman goes to a master chef, watches them cook something, yummy but difficult-ish, and then makes something simpler and more accessible for the viewing audience.

I’ve seen two episodes and I really like the interaction between Bittman and the other chefs so far. Friendly and a little “you really think you can top that??” And then Bittman has to remind “I’m not trying to top; just trying to make it simple.” I don’t know if I’ll start staying up just to watch it, but i like what i’ve seen :)
