I have Oreo in my teeth…

I see a lot of Tom’s shoes in Seoul. There must be a store somewhere… I bought some new H&M clothes.

Slowly,… I’m reading through Understanding Reading by Frank Smith. It’s a good read.

There are a lot of books I want to read, but I still can’t get through the ones I have. Still reading the one above and Seneca. Although, I have been rereading passages and taking notes. Oh, when will I finish these. I need to start reading when I have small breaks, rather than long blocks of down time.

I knew one of the upcoming classes for my Grad program. I was reading through the books for it. Now, it appears that the class professor is undergoing back surgery, and the class will be pushed back. So, now, I want to know the books for the next 2 February classes, so that I can start reading them.

I updated my laptop to Ubuntu 10.10. I was baffled why I wasn’t getting the update until I dug into the settings and learned that it was set to only Long Term Releases. Now, all my software has been updated and shiny!

Saturday, I went to a Korean traditional hanbok fashion show. It was held at one of the palaces. Sunday, I went to a the school librarian’s wedding. He used to live in the same building as me, but now he’s moved out and taking the week off.

I need to crack the whip on a couple of friends. I need those Letter of Recommendation NOW!

I’ve been reading Korean comics. This is DongKyung girl and Panda Dog.

Friday, this teacher held a coffee cup over my beloved plant. I stared at him like, “What do you think you’re doing there?” He poured it in my plant, and I just sat and watched. I was like, “That for damn sure had better not kill my plant!” But it appears to be ok. Discomfort level: Null.

Fun with Photos

Photo 1 and 2 are a stamp that a student had bought me. It has my Korean name on it. 3 is the Zen Potato project. The container which I had for it had no drainage at the bottom. One day a teacher over watered the container and I noticed signs of the potato molding. So, I chucked it into the rice fields. 4 is my latest mate delivery. Yeah! It’s a lot of mate, but it will get drank. My attitude has become very positive these few days, and I think it’s because of 5. These are the clovers that I started growing in the home. They only took about 2 days to sprout.

Mossy Geo’

Here’s my moss plant Geochadon. The bottle terrarium has been working well over these colder days. I’ve been keeping him in my kitchen, which doesn’t have heated floors. So, it’s a few degrees warmer than the weather outside. I’ve kept him on top of my fridge, which is next to a halogen light and the window.

The traps aren’t as large as they were over the summer, but they are still working if triggered. Though, he hasn’t had a snack in months. I’m sure the health of the moss and the soil quality will help Geochadon through the winter.
